The one thing to remember
ElevenLabs runs on a single shared currency called credits (older docs call them "characters" — same thing). Everything you make — speech, sound effects, music, images, video — spends from one monthly pot. Your pot is 300,000 credits/month.
- Images are one of the cheapest things you can make. A single image (~185 credits) costs less than one minute of speech and about the same as one sound effect.
- Video is by far the most expensive. A single 8-second AI video clip can cost as much as ~100–200 images. Video is the line item to watch.
- The "X left" number you see in the Image & Video tool isn't a separate wallet — it's just "how many images you could still make this month," i.e. your remaining credits ÷ ~185.
Why "1,536 left" and "16,278 / 300,000" both made sense.
283,722 credits remaining ÷ ~185 per image ≈ 1,536 images left. Same wallet, two displays. Mystery solved.
Your plan is a good deal.
The current public Creator plan includes 121k credits. Your account carries 300k — a legacy/higher allotment, ~2.5× the standard.
Cost by content type — the real spread
Left: what one unit costs in credits (log scale — the gap is enormous). Right: how many of each your 300,000/month buys if you made only that.
The numbers behind the charts
Dollar figures use your Creator price of $22/mo ÷ 300,000 credits ≈ $0.0000733 per credit. Exact = published rate or measured on your account · Estimate = settings-dependent, illustrative · Your account = read live.

This billing cycle, and what Marstronaut cost
The full Marstronaut module image set:
- 95 prompts fired from the 2026 Marstronaut Airtable; ~88 images registered (~6–7 didn't take during rapid-fire — easily re-run).
- ~16,278 credits ≈ $1.19 — about 5.4% of your monthly allowance.
- That left you ~1,536 more images of headroom this cycle.
- If the same set had been made as 8-second videos, it would have cost roughly 1.4M–3.5M credits — 5–12× your entire monthly plan. Images were the right call.
Bottom line: bulk image creation through ElevenLabs is cheap — pennies per image. Your plan comfortably supports hundreds of branded module images a month. Reserve video for hero moments and budget it deliberately.

Interactive AI Agents — a 24/7/365 Health Academy team
Modeling 10 voice agents (Dr. Rob, Coach Lucy + 8 specialists) available around the clock. This is a separate meter from your 300k creative credits — agents are billed by conversation minutes, plus a small at-cost LLM fee.
- You pay for talk time, not standby. Idle agents cost $0. "24/7/365 availability" is free — you're billed only for the minutes someone is actually chatting.
- Rate: ~$0.08/min (ElevenLabs) + LLM at cost → a planning figure of ~$0.10/min all-in. Building/training the 10 agents is free.
- Your Creator plan includes 275 agent-minutes/month (~9 min/day, 10 concurrent calls) — enough for a small pilot. Academy scale runs on Business ($990/mo, 12,375 min) or Enterprise, plus pay-as-you-go overage at ~$0.08/min.
The big picture: a human must be paid for every hour they're on shift — talking or not. An AI agent is paid only while it talks, and answers unlimited students at once (within concurrency limits). That's why the lines below are so far apart.
Conversation-minute scenarios (all 10 agents combined)
| Usage level | Conversations / day | Avg length | Minutes / year | ElevenLabs ($0.08/min) | All-in (~$0.10/min) |
| Pilot | 100 | 5 min | 182,500 | $14,600 | $18,250 |
| Active | 500 | 5 min | 912,500 | $73,000 | $91,250 |
| Heavy / scaled | 1,000 | 6 min | 2,190,000 | $175,200 | $219,000 |
AI agents vs. real human coverage — annual cost
Human coverage math. Keeping 10 coaches live 24/7/365 = 10 × 24 × 365 = 87,600 paid hours/year. At ~$25/hr fully loaded that's ~$2.19M/year (range $1.75M–$3.07M at $20–$35/hr) — paid whether or not anyone calls, and still capped at 10 people talking at once.
What that means. The 10-agent team runs at ~1% of human cost at Pilot volume, ~4% at Active, and ~10% even at Heavy, scaled volume — while never sleeping, answering instantly, in any language, with perfectly consistent FFH messaging.
Important for a health context. These figures size infrastructure cost, not strategy. AI agents are ideal for navigation, education, motivation, scheduling, and triage-to-resources — they complement, not replace, licensed humans for clinical advice. Build in human escalation paths, compliance review, and oversight (especially under FFH/Foundation guidelines). Cost assumptions — $0.10/min all-in, $25/hr loaded labor, and the conversation volumes — are planning estimates; actual numbers shift with LLM model choice, call length, silence-discounting, and wage rates.
How these numbers were derived. Plan, allowance (300,000), usage (16,278), and renewal date were read live from your ElevenLabs Subscription page on June 10, 2026. Cost-per-image (~185 credits) was triangulated from your account two ways: 283,722 remaining credits ÷ 1,536 "images left" = 184.7, and the run's ~16,278 credits ÷ ~88 images = 185.0. Per-modality rates for TTS and sound effects are ElevenLabs' published figures; music and video are settings-dependent and shown as clearly-labeled estimates. ElevenLabs does not publish a fixed per-image/per-video credit price — costs vary by model, resolution, variants, duration, and sound.
