Here's a secret that makes interviews so much less scary: the hardest questions all have the same shape — "Tell me about a time when…" And there's a simple way to nail every one of them, called STAR. You've already lived the stories in the other modules. Now I'll help you tell them like a pro.

The STAR method

Great interview answers are stories with four parts. Miss one and the story falls flat; hit all four and you sound clear, confident, and real.

Situation

Set the scene briefly. Where were you, what was going on?

Task

What was your job or challenge in that moment?

Action

What did you actually do? This is the heart — be specific.

Result

How did it turn out? What did you learn or improve?
